This workshop will explain page set-up and show how to tinker with pictures. All you need are basic Word skills, like typing (hunt ‘n peck’s ok), using a mouse, and using the Enter key. Basic Computers If you fear technology is gaining, this workshop is for you. This course takes you from turning on the computer to turning it off. We’ll begin by learning some of the computer language and what the terms mean. From there, we will look at all the basic components of a computer, what you need for a computer for your home or business, how to shop intelligently for software and hardware, and some basic troubleshooting techniques. You will learn how to intelligently surf the web, how to save documents on different types of storage media, and how to send along attachments (and open and save them) on your email (we’ll even start you up a free email account if you don’t have one). This course will run for two sessions and is hands-on. |
